Birth in Progress
Part co-creation, part exhibition, Birth in Progress is a participatory design conversation format for the global maternal and newborn health community.
The first ‘Birth in Progress’ exhibition showcased Lab.our Ward design proposals and took place at the global women’s health and rights conference, Women Deliver in Copenhagen, Denmark, May 2016.
User tests, feedback and conversations
We presented over 20 design proposals from our ongoing Lab.our Ward project. These proposals and prototypes related to different services, products and architectural solutions aiming to improve the experience of care in maternity wards. The exhibition offered a tangible platform to show and discuss the different prototypes and how they connect to one another on a systemic level. We received invaluable feedback and suggestions from the hundreds of participants who tested the designs over the two days.
