The Missing Billion

Nearly 15% of the world’s population has a disability. These approximately 1 billion people are more likely to be denied healthcare, face discrimintation in health services, and suffer from malnutrition and chronic diseases, among other healthcare disparities. The Missing Billion initiative works to transform health systems to address these inequalities and ensure better healthcare access and outcomes for everyone, including people with disabilities.

Scope supported the formation of the initiative and most recently designed its new brand and first iteration website. We continue to partner with the Missing Billion, along with people living with disabilities and systems actors, to identify gaps, compile best practices, co-create new service models, and advocate for more inclusive health systems around the world.
