Scope Impact is a health tech and climate data company founded in 2008 in Helsinki, Finland. Our mission is to promote and protect health in a rapidly changing climate. To achieve this, we design and scale climate-resilient, community-based health solutions that enable individuals, communities, and health systems to better prepare for and respond to climate-related health challenges. Our team develops evidence-based, scalable and people-centered services and products that are integrated within existing systems.

Purpose of procurement
Scope Impact is seeking experienced visual design consultants to provide creative design services supporting our global climate and health products and projects. We are looking for creative and professional partners who understand and reflect our mission in every visual asset they produce.

The aim is to establish a pool of trusted visual design partners for ongoing collaboration across projects with varying timelines and levels of support.

Scope of work
We aim to establish a long-term design partnership for projects of varying durations, from brief, one-day assignments to extended, multi-week engagements. Communication and project handovers will occur remotely via Zoom. We are seeking versatile visual design partners with expertise in the following areas:

• Graphic Design & Illustration: Development of creative illustrations, including hand-drawn and digital illustration styles.
• Social Media & Communication Materials: Creation of branded communication assets to support product launches, campaigns, awareness initiatives; development of visual content adapted for different communication channels and audiences.
• Video Production & Motion Design: Creation of animations, motion graphics, and short videos to communicate services, solutions, and product messages effectively; transformation of existing concepts, scripts, or content into engaging visual storytelling formats.
• UX/UI & Digital Product Design: Design of intuitive web and native mobile interfaces, with a focus on usability, accessibility and user-centered design; development and maintenance of scalable design systems and reusable UI components; design of micro-interactions and motion to enhance the user experience.

Key responsibilities
The selected consultant(s) will work closely with Scope Impact team to:

• Develop inclusive, engaging, and accessible multimedia content for climate and health products and initiatives, particularly across Asia and Africa
• Translate technical information and complex ideas into clear and compelling visual assets
• Design communication materials aligned with Scope Impact’s brand identity and product objectives
• Build, maintain, and evolve design systems to ensure consistency across products and support efficient collaboration between design and development
• Create polished UI designs for climate and health digital services, ensuring accessibility, usability, and responsiveness across devices
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including product, research, and communication colleagues
• Participate in design reviews, iterate on designs based on user and stakeholder feedback, and contribute to continuous product improvement.
• Provide creative input and recommendations on visual storytelling approaches

Required skills and experience

The ideal consultant(s) will demonstrate:

• Alignment with Scope Impact’s mission and commitment to social impact, climate resilience, and health equity
• Strong graphic design, illustration, and digital design capabilities
• Ability to visualize and communicate complex concepts, information, and digital solutions in simple and engaging ways
• Proficiency in relevant design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
• A strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and high-quality visual execution
• Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative, and culturally diverse environments
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, work independently, and adapt to evolving needs
• Strong initiative, creativity, and problem-solving skills
