Abdulhakim Bashir is an AI engineer with experience in applying machine learning and software to practical problems across energy, financial intelligence, and biomedical research. At Kano Electricity Distribution Company, he worked on systems that supported energy optimisation and revenue improvement. At the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit, he helped build machine learning systems for classifying suspicious activity reports and identifying suspicious transaction patterns. At Barnacle Labs, in collaboration with the US National Cancer Institute, he has worked on AI tools that help researchers explore biomedical literature and data more effectively. Outside work, he enjoys badminton and martial arts, especially Muay Thai.
